Roof Collapse At Construction Site Traps Men

Two construction workers were trapped briefly after part of roof fell over today. It happened at Brook Hill School in Bullard at a construction site for their new lower high school Friday.

Authorities say the workers were putting up a wooden truss that was not secure. One truss fell, creating a domino effect.

Other construction workers on site managed to free the men before emergency personnel arrived.

"There is a little bit of a language barrier with some of the workers so as far as what part of the area they were trapped in I am not sure," said Justin Walker Bullard Fire Fighter, "I was just happy to see they were out. There was three men in there working two of them were trapped but they were out when we arrived."

We're told the men's injuries were not life threatening and refused to be transported to the hospital.

No children were present because school was not in session.
