His daughter says disparaging comments that the Reverend Billy Graham made about Jews 30 years ago are "inexcusable and indefensible."
But Anne Graham Lotz says the tape of her father's Oval Office chat with President Nixon doesn't reflect the evangelist's view of the Jewish people. Lotz says she has "no idea what provoked" her father's complaint about Jews dominating the American media and producing pornography.
Billy Graham has apologized, but says he can't remember the conversation. Lotz says her father's health is good considering the problems he's had. But she says her mother, Ruth Bell Graham, broke her pelvis in a fall several weeks ago.
