Longview Offers Free Christmas Tree Recycling For Residents
Well, if you're like many East Texans you're probably wondering, now that Christmas is coming to and end, what do you do with that beautiful Christmas tree? The city of Longview is lending a helping hand. Starting December 26th through January 12th you can recycle those unwanted trees. Residents can deliver their Christmas trees at several drop off locations in Longview. Residents are encouraged to deliver Christmas trees to McWhorter Park, 1000 Toler Rd.; Stamper Park, 400 Fair St.; or the Compost Site, 280 Hearne Rd., during open hours. Before dropping them off remember to remove all decorations from the trees. Also, flocked trees will not be accepted. The city says Christmas trees left at the curb for regular trash pick-up will not be recycled.
