More than a third of this year's holiday shoppers didn't even glance at their lists until earlier this week. According to Consumer Reports, nearly a quarter just finished shopping Sunday. It's good news for retailers who went into one of the busiest shopping weekends with sluggish sales, with hopes those last minute shoppers can boost their profits.
"I say it every year, I'm going to do it a little earlier, [but] I'm getting a late start on it, said Joe Dezellle. Stores like Target are giving to the wire shoppers a little extra time, staying open later than usual, Sunday night. If your shopping continues through the Christmas Eve holiday, most stores will be closing early, so be sure to get things squared away early.
