Young East Texans Audition For Hollywood Movie

A young East Texan could be on the way to fame.  Auditions were held Saturday for leading roles in an upcoming Hollywood movie to be shot here in Texas.  Hundreds of East Texas boys heard the call and lined up to audition in Rusk.  The name of the movie has not yet been released, but the filmmakers have been nominated for academy awards.

The production company said they're looking for outgoing and spirited boys between 10 to 14 years old.

"We're having a try-out for a movie, and we're not sure what the name of it is, but we're all excited," said Ty Wilson.

"I think he's impressed with this, and he's had some encouragement that he might be good for a part like that, so we're excited about it," said Nathan Alders, who brought his son to audition.  Auditions are being held state-wide until February.  Filming is scheduled to begin in March.
