Meth-Lab Found on Pontoon Boat

A Smith County Constable and Game Wardens found 400 grams of liquid methamphetamine after searching a pontoon boat in the Lakeway Harbor area of Lake Palestine Saturday.

Authorities arrested 48-year old Carlton Pettit Junior and 27-year old Seth Michael Gamblin for manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance. Gamblin was also charged with possession and intent to transport a controlled substance.

Residents on Lakeway Harbor grew suspicious of the pair's boat after seeing it leave and dock at strange hours.

Game wardens and constables boarded the boat for a routine safety check at 3 a.m. and found liquid meth-amphetamine and two propane tanks with remnants of  anahydrous pneumonia on-board.

Smith County authorities also searched one of the suspects home's where they say they found more drug paraphernalia.

Gamblin or Pettit were booked in Smith County Jail. Their bonds have not been set yet.
