Two East Texas Girls Get A Christmas Surprise of a Lifetime

They came out tonight to see decorations, but it was something else that made the eyes of 2 East Texas girls light up. KLTV 7's LaKecia Shockley was there tonight for their surprise of a life-time, with a little help from Saint Nick. It was a night full of hundreds of Christmas lights that East Texans came out to see, but the beautiful lights weren't the only surprise of the night.

5-year-old Hannah and 2-year-old Savannah had no idea their wish from Santa was about to come true. All the girls wanted for Christmas was their Dad to come home from Iraq. After nine months of being in Iraq Specialist Duane Gray surprised his daughters at a neighbors home. "For this to be all they wanted from Santa Clause, It's wonderful,"said  Duane's wife Jennifer Gray. "I was nervous at first . It's a lot of people here but I was excited too," said Specialist Gray. " This is just the best Christmas present because I have all my kids home this year. It's pretty cool," said Duane's mother, Denna Gray. With many comrades unable to come home, Duane says he's lucky and he is not taking his time home from Iraq for granted.  "I think we're just going to go home and I'm going to play with my kids. I was just one of the lucky ones that got to come home." Home to his daughters and his wife who wouldn't have it any way else.

"This Christmas will be a good one!"

A good Christmas with a fairy tale ending.
