High School Football Players Start Brawl, Punishment Still Unknown

Players from Roosevelt High School in Dallas, bombarded the Gilmer Buckeye Bench, one player even punching a Gilmer coach.  Gilmer had just defeated Roosevelt in the state quarter finals.

Tuesday, KLTV 7 contacted Dallas Independent School District to find out the punishment for those players involved, but we were told that information could not be released.

Gilmer Superintendent, Rick Albritton, said he doesn't know what enforcements have been made, either, but he said he is confident appropriate action will be taken.

We also contacted the University Interscholastic League, and it said it will not be able to hand down a penalty until their executive committee meets in January.

Of course, we will continue to update you with the details as we obtain them.
