Police Say Wife Shoots Husband Multiple Times

Police say a two and half hour standoff in South Tyler Saturday night stemmed from a domestic dispute.  It started around 6:30 p.m., when police say they got a call a man had been shot several times in his home in the 3000 Block of Cameron Avenue.  The gunman, police say was his wife.

At this point we know the husband and wife had some sort of argument.  The man, identified as Frank Scarborough, 62 police say was shot three times by his wife, Jerrye.  Police also say he was hit in the arm, leg and a bullet grazed his neck.  After the shotting he was able to run to a neighbor's house and call 911 and was then taken to a hospital.

For several hours a Tyler Police Swat Team tried to talk to the wife, Jerrye, but in the end police say found her lying in the home unresponsive.  EMS took her to a hospital, but police said she did not suffer from any gun wounds.  Police say the victim has no life threatening injuries.

This is in the early stages of the investigation, so no charges have been filed at this time.
