Singing Zoologist Visits East Texas Schools

It's not your typical science class.  This one includes stories, puppets and a whole lot of singing. Lucas Miller, or better known as the singing zoologist uses songs to educate children on things like wetlands, animal defenses and endangered species.  Friday morning, Miller performed at Jone's Elementary School in Tyler.

"My main goal is just to provide 45 minutes of science education that's fun," said Lucas.  "I think they will take away some vocabulary words, hopefully an impression of somebody who has respect for the natural world, but the main thing is for them to have a positive science education experience."  Lucas performed at seven Tyler ISD elementary schools this week.  He's been entertaining children since 1994.
