East Texas Seniors Are One Step Closer To Getting Their Shoes

Today, some Winnsboro seniors were re-fitted for diabetic medicare shoes they never received.

It was just a month ago when a couple, Debbie and Larry Ridgeley, originally fitted 115 seniors, but never placed the order. The couple allegedly made away with thousands of dollars in Medicare money. The shoe order was supposedly placed with "The Cooper Shoe Company", who decided to foot the bill to help the seniors. "We want to help the people," says Charlotte Smith who works for Cooper Shoes.  "All of us pay into Medicare. We do not want it being misused."

The Ridgeley's, much like the shoes they promised, are no where to be found. They're now wanted by the FBI for alleged Medicare fraud.
