Several Restaurants Have Serious Health Violations

ST. LOUIS RIB FACTORY

A worker wasn't properly washing hands prior to handling food

And the inspector noted contaminated gloves being used

Cooled ribs weren't being held at the proper holding temperature

And the inspector said the manager was "not able to demonstrate basic food safety"

Total Demerits: 24

Tacos in a cooler weren't cooled quickly enough

An employee handled ready to eat foods without proper barriers like gloves

Then there were dead insect parts found

And evidence of rodents

Total Demerits: 22.  And the permit to serve food was suspended.

Inspected November 29.

Pasta and meats in a cooler were not cold enough.

The problem stmemed from a problem with the cooler itself and it needed repair

 And cans of insect spray were stored under a sink.  The type of spray wasn't approved for a restaurant setting.

Hot foods on the buffet were not at the required hot holding temperature of 135°

Food preparation areas needed sanitizing

And foods were not properly wrapped and stored
