Catholic coloring books teach kids to protect themselves

The Archdiocese of New York is giving out coloring books that teach kids how to protect themselves from adults.

On one page of the coloring book, a guardian angel warns: an altar boy should never be alone in a room with an adult... unless a door or a window is open. The book, "Being friends, Being safe, Being Catholic," never specifically mentions priests. But one page shows a child, apparently in a church sacristy, with someone who seems to be a priest looking at him.

Church officials say targeting or stigmatizing priests isn't their intention. The books have been distributed to 300 schools and 400 religious groups.
