Whitehouse Boy Killed in Four Wheeler Accident

  Students at a Whitehouse Middle School are grieving  the death of a classmate.

  Twelve-year old Zachary Kayne Browne of Whitehouse died of serious head injuries after a four-wheeler he was riding flipped over Friday afternoon. Zachary was transported to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler where he died Saturday.

  Zachary was in the sixth grade at Holloway Middle School in Whitehouse.

  Counselors say its the first time most of the kids have faced the loss of one of their friends. Counselors visited each class Monday to help students cope with their grief.

  "They tend to think they're going to live forever," said counselor Ann Kasstevens. "They think nothing is going to happen to them. But when it happens to someone very close to them, the same age, then all of a sudden they think it could happen to me."

  A funeral for Zachary will be held in Frankston Wednesday.

  You can donate to a fund in Zachary Browne's name at First National Bank of Frankston. That money will be used to help his family with burial costs.
