Suddenlink-NFL Network Update

The NFL Network has declined three offers from Suddenlink, as the cable provider scrambles to get Thursday's Cowboys /Packers game available to it's customers. Last week, Suddenlink sent a letter offering three additional options to carry.

The first option, Suddenlink remains willing to carry the NFL Network on an upgraded digital sports tier. An option similar to Cox cable in Oklahoma City. The second option, make the live regular season NFL games available to customers on a pay per view basis. The third offer make the NFL Network a stand alone channel, where the NFL Network would determine a retail rate and they would receive 100% of the revenue. Suddenlink says they would have made no money on this option.

But NFL Network refused these options saying they would accept nothing less than the $100 million they demanded more than a year ago.
