Senior citizens in Tyler don't have to wait much longer for their new 2.5-million dollar center.
Thursday, seniors and others were given hard hat tours of the almost complete Ornelas activity Center. The Tyler Area Senior Citizen's association was given part of the money by the Ornelas family, and other donations, to run the senior center.
Once complete, it will have two health facilities, a classroom, and a place for Senior dances.
"We're going to have all manners of activities for seniors, places where they can come and be with people of similar interests," says Betty Mallory, of the Tyler Ares Senior Citizen Association.
