East Texas Women Give Their 2 Cents On "The Bachelor Finale" Outcome

The final two women on The Bachelor, meant double the rejection on Monday's night episode.

"I have to tell you goodbye," said Bachelor Brad Womack to Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas on the finale.

"We were like, 'What! What is going on here," exclaimed UT-Tyler student Athena Bustamante.

"And my heart was just broken just as much as hers. It was as if it was me," said Tyler resident Janice Thompson on the treadmill at the gym.

In true "Bachelor" form, all indications pointed to at least one woman walking away in Brad's arms.

"I actually thought he was going to pick Jenni and then he didn't pick DeAnna and then he couldn't make up his mind! He's crazy," said UT-Tyler student Alyssa Dorman.

"I screamed. I got on the couch and started screaming. I was like, 'No!' And I thought maybe he's going to turn around and propose to [Jenni] first and say no DeAnna but he didn't," said UT-Tyler student Leslie Nelson.

"I don't understand how you can say goodbye," said DeAnna Pappas to Brad on Monday night's show.

Some of the women who watched is asking why did Brad go on the show in the first place?!

"A part of me thinks he did it all for the fame for his bars here in Texas, but you never know," said Leslie.

"As a woman I was thinking, 'The nerve of this guy!' The nerve of him because of the fact that he had 25 women to pick from," said Janice.

Athena added, "He was saying, 'You know, I have so much feelings for these people, my head is a mess and I don't know what I'm going to do.'  And then he's like, 'I can't look at you and tell you I love you'," referring to Brad's comment to DeAnna on the finale.

Which means those three words will be saved for another lucky lady.  Along with the final rose and that diamond ring.

"Are you still a brad fan?  There might be some Brad haters because of this," asked KLTV 7 Reporter Christine Nelson.  Alyssa replied,"Uh, yeah, I am. He's still very cute!"

Athena response, "I mean he's good looking it's kinda hard to hate him he's so cute!"

A little "Bachelor" trivia: This has happened before where the final two suitors get rejected.  It was on The Bachelorette when Jen Shefft turned down two marriage proposals in the 2005 finale.
