KLTV 7 NFL Analyst and former Chicago Bear Lemuel Stinson sat down with Sports Director Maya Golden to breakdown the Cowboys victory against the Giants.
Maya: So, we said that game was going to be tough, first half neck and neck. Second half, it was all Cowboys.
Lemuel: Yeah the Cowboys are just playing strong. I mean they were neck and neck in the beginning and then just all of a sudden, Dallas took over. They've been a second half team all year though.
Maya: It was a bad day for the Manning brothers as a whole, but talk about Eli because he got sacked quite a few times.
Lemuel: That's that Dallas defense those guys are playing great, especially the defensive ends.
Maya: Now this makes that game coming up with the Redskins a lot more interesting because if they can do that against the Giants... and there's not to many new faces with the Redskins. Plus their safety is out.
Lemuel: Yeah their safety got hurt yesterday I think. Dallas has got smooth sailing until the next big matchup I think with the Green Bay Packers.
Maya: What is it you think Wade Phillips has been able to do to transform this team? Bill Parcells laid the foundation getting the players but what is it that Wade's been able to do? Or is it more Wade or Jason Garrett?
Lemuel: I think it's a little of both. Jason Garrett has always been that way even when we played against him, he's a laid back type of guy and he understood the game. Wade takes that stress off the players. Parcells had a stress on them where if you mess up you were scared to mess up. These guys mess up and it happens real face. If it happens it happens. If they do it they do it, if they don't they don't. I think it's better that he's there because they are having more fun.
After two weeks on the road the Cowboys are back home this week to host the Redskins. Kickoff is at 3:15 p.m. It was originally a noon game.
