Fire Destroys Troup Home

A Troup man is left without a home after a fire leveled his house early Sunday morning.

Firefighters were called to a residential fire on the 200 block of Paschal just before six Sunday morning, where they found a home and nearby trees engulfed in flames.

No one was home at the time.

It took three hours for six fire units to extinguish the blaze. Five hours later smoke was still billowing from the home's remains.

Investigators have not yet determined a cause.
