More Shows Affected

More television casualties are being blamed on the writers strike. Now the Fox thriller 24 has been taken off the network's revised midseason schedule. Fox says the season is being
indefinitely postponed to ensure an uninterrupted run.

With the strike in its fourth day, shows are running out of scripts and some stars are refusing to cross picket lines. At least eight other prime-time shows, including the popular NBC sitcom The Office, have stopped production.

The main sticking points between writers and producers are payments from DVDs and shows offered on the Internet.

No new talks have been scheduled.

Networks are expected to announce plans for alternative programming in the coming days.
