East Texans Do What They Can To Help California Wildfire Victims

The East Texas Food Bank is sending 750 boxes of food and supplies to emergency shelters in California.

The food bank works with a network of food pantries that have been called on to provide help to the thousand of people displaced by the wildfires in California.

"We are responsible for the 26 counties that we serve here, locally and regionally, but we're also a part of that national network and all the food banks across the nation are ready to help in time of need," said Joey Morris, director of operations of the East Texas Food Bank.

And the food bank is asking for your help.

They say they are always in need of non-perishable food items, and you can make donations at the East Texas Food Bank.
