Tyler Family Gets Home From City

A Tyler family's almost 70-year-old house comes down, and a brand new home is built in it's place. The Granberrys cut ribbon Tuesday on their newly-constructed home, giving to them by the city of Tyler. It was possible through the city's Owner-occupied Rehabilitation Assistance Program that rebuilds or replaces low-to-moderate income housing in target areas throughout the city. The Granberrys said they feel blessed to get the keys to their new house.

"It's great and I want to spend the first night tonight if I have to sleep on the floor, and get me a pillow, it's exciting it really is," said James Granberry.

The program aims to revitalize specific neighborhoods by replacing old homes with new ones.
