Threatening Text Messages Force Lockdown At Bullard High School

Threatening text messages force Bullard High School to issue a lockdown Friday.  School officials do believe it was a prank. They didn't take any chances though. The lockdown was from 12:30 p.m. until school was dismissed around 3 p.m.

We're told a Bullard High School student received about four text messages, warning students not to come to school because there was going to be a shooting.

"We were trying to locate the AT&T number but we haven't been able to do that.  So we're trying to see where the message came from," says Bullard ISD Superintendent Jim Wright.

Bullard ISD says the FBI and Texas Rangers are investigating.

Another lockdown was issued at John Tyler High School.  That brief lockdown ended up being a false alarm.
