Lindale Baby, Boston Harold, Makes Headlines In The Boston Herald

Weighing in at 9 pounds and 3 ounces, the very special issue of the Boston Harold probably outweighed most Sunday editions of the newspaper.

And the name of this little bundle of joy is bringing a lot of attention.

"We thought we needed to have a real fun creative name," said John Morgan of Lindale.  "We thought, what's another cool '80s band?"

John said one his friends said, Boston, jokingly, and the name stuck.

Meet Boston Harold Morgan, not to be confused with The Boston Herald, the Massachusetts newspaper.

At just a week old, little Boston has more than had his 15 minutes of fame.

"At first, I didn't know about the Boston Herald," said John.

John said he was watching a television show when he first heard a reference to the newspaper.

"I got online, looked it up and I was real excited to find out there was a Boston Herald." John said.

And the Herald, H-E-R-A-L-D, thought baby Boston Harold, H-A-R-O-L-D, was exciting news too.  The paper featured him and his parents in one of their articles.

"It was pretty much the only name we both kind of liked," said mom, Amanda Morgan.  "Then it just kind of grew on me."

Harold is a family name shared on both sides of the family by fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers. The name is something Boston's grandmother, Angela Woodard, is proud to see passed on.

"It was very emotional for me," she said.  "That was my husband's name [and] he died seven years ago."

And baby Boston is living the rock-star life, staying up all night, partying and screaming, said John.

And that's fitting behavior for any baby named for a rock band.
