Largemouth Bass Have High Levels of Mercury

A warning has been issued about bass in an East Texas lake.

The Texas Department of Health says largemouth bass in Lake Daingerfield in Morris County has elevated levels of mercury. They want people in the area to limit the amount of bass they eat in a month to just two 8-ounce servings for adults and two 4-ounce servings for children. TDH says there is no risk of mercury poisoning from other fish or activities on Lake Daingerfield.
