From ordering the plans, to cutting the wood, to laying the carpet, George Robertson of Flint is just about done building his very own, hand-built fishing boat. Robertson said this isn't the first boat he's built. In high school, he built a row boat in his wood shop class using plans from the same company.
"Ever since I built that first one, I wanted the time and the space and the opportunity to build another one," said Robertson. Sometime next week, Robertson said his boat should be ready to see the water.
"Who knows? There may be a another after this," said Robertson. Robertson said all that's left to do is to finish carpeting in his boat and installing the seats. Then, he said, he'll be ready for the water.
