World War II Veterans Reunion

They are close friends, comrades and heroes. They saved lives fighting across Europe during World War II. What they've seen and endured is hard for most of us to imagine, and impossible for them to forget.

"We lived through some bad times and some bad weather," said veteran Kenneth Morris.

"Pretty rough times, but we did what we were supposed to do and did our job. We did what we felt like we should do and that was to help win the war," said veteran Warren Chancellor.

That job involved a three year trek across Europe, taking them from the beaches of Normandy, in France, all the way to Czechoslovakia.

"I'm real proud of what we accomplished," said Morris. "Let me tell you something, you get over there and you see the horrible way people lived. If you could give your life to keep them from coming over here and doing what they did to these people over there, it was worth it."

Sadly, there aren't many of these veterans left to tell their stories. It makes reunions like these even more special for those remaining.

"There're so many of us that's gone that you almost have a sad feeling when you leave. You see somebody everyday, 24 hours a day for about 3 years and you get to be pretty close buddies," Morris said.

"I love every one of them. They helped saved me and i guess i helped save them," said Chancellor.
