Dallas Jury Delivers Sentence in Tyler Murder Case

Twenty seven year old Kelvin Bowie was sentenced Friday for shooting twenty nine year old Michael Wideman to death outside of a Tyler Whataburger. The case was moved outside of Tyler because of a publicized confession Bowie gave to a Tyler-based state judge in October. Bowie originally told the Tyler judge that he hunted Wideman down and shot him because of years of being bullied.  The maximum sentence Bowie could have received for the murder was fifteen to ninety-nine years, or life in prison.
