Former East Texas Police Officer Pleads Guilty To Making False Plea
A former Jacksonville police officer pleads guilty to making a false plea in court while he was sworn under oath to tell the truth. In June, 34 year old Larry Pugh lied about pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a women while on duty. During a civil trial, Pugh said he did not plead guilty because he was guilty, instead saying it was in the best interest of his children. Pugh faces up to five years in prison. His sentencing date has not been set.
