Chihuahua Rushes In Burning Home To Save Cat

It's the story of a small dog with a big heart.

Evansville firefighters put out a fire Wednesday afternoon on West Oregon Street.

A father and daughter got out okay, but the family dog had to be rescued after running back into the burning home.

Family members say the Chihuahua, named Taleeka, was looking for the missing cat, Big Boy.

The dog was given oxygen and is okay.

Investigators believe the fire started in the laundry room. The Red Cross is helping the family.

There is still no sign of the missing cat.
