Pig Racers Take To The Tracks At The Gregg County Fair

Move over dog racers...the tracks are going to the...pigs. It's one of the most popular attractions at the Gregg county Fair.

It's called, "Show Me Swine Racers." Their celebrity named pigs like, "Snoop hoggy hog" and "Arnold Swortenpigger"of Hoggywood California.

Small pigs, big pigs, and even teeny tiny pigs race around the track as fast as they can to win the prize of a cookie."They eat a lot of cookies. That's what the pigs run for. They have a job just like any other person. We don't pinch, poke, or prod our pigs," said Nathan Tidwell.

You can catch the "Show- Me Swine" racers from now until Saturday at the Gregg county Fair. Race show times start at 7, 8, and 9:30pm. Admission for the fair is $4. Children 6 and under can get in free.
