Senior Olympics: Fun For East Texas Seniors

They came from all over East Texas to compete against the best.   It's the Senior Olympics with opening ceremonies and all.  Seniors participated in a wheelchair race, ragball toss, the dance competition, spelling bee, and dominoes. And for the winners--trophies! Tuesday's event is something many seniors say they look forward to every year and they love the friendly competition.

"I enjoy it. I get all excited. I like to watch people do the races. I get tickled out of people doing the races," says Johnnie Brennan, a contestant at the Senior Olympics.

"It's surprising to find that you get a little nervous even though the words are pretty easy 19 20 fun meeting people. Being involved in a competition," says Glenna McGee, one of the Spelling Bee contestant.

This is the 26th annual event hosted by the East Texas Chapter of Activity Professionals.
