Police Looking For Thief Targeting Registers

Over a five hour period on Saturday, Longview Police say a man stole money from cash registers at  three different location. Now they need your help to find him.

The first incident happened at Jack in the Box located at 507 North Access at approximately 4:22 pm.  The employee said the suspect placed an order and when she opened the register, he reached over the counter and grabbed money from the cash drawer.

The second incident happened at 6:56 pm at the Family Dollar store located at 1200 south High Street.  In this case, the store employee told officers the suspect purchased a pack of gum and when he opened the cash drawer, the suspect reached over and grabbed an undisclosed amount of money from the drawer.

The suspect then attempted to flee and the clerk grabbed him and pinned him up against a window.  The suspect dropped the money and began to strike the employee in the head, so he let him go.  The employee was not injured.

The final incident occurred at 8:14 pm at the Qwick Food Mart located at 701 South Eastman Road.  The suspect entered the store and once again took cash from the register drawer before fleeing.

The suspect in all three cases is described as a black male, 25 to 35 years of age, 5'08" to 6'00" in height, 165 to 185 pounds, skinny build, with a slight moustache and was bald.
