Dog Shot To Death, In Its' Own Backyard

When Fay Moyer looked out her window, she had no idea what she was about to witness.

"I thought somebody was just coming to say hi to Lola. "you know stop and talk to her and look at her, that's all I thought was happening," said Fay.

That's when things took a turn for the worst. Fay's nearly three year old Siberian husky had been shot between the eyes, in its own backyard.

"I heard the pop and lola just fell, I mean it was so fast," said Fay.

18 year old Kiley Baker and 18 year old Max Garcia, returned to  scene of the crime

a few hours latter where they were arrested by police.

Garcia and Baker are charged with felony cruelty to animals, and a misdemeanor charge of carrying an unlawful weapon.

"This dog was inside a fenced area," said Sergeant Shaun Pendleton.

"He wasn't bothering anybody, he hadn't attempted to attack these two individuals. They were just out messing around and randomly picked this dog and shot him," said Pendleton.

All that Fay has left to remember Lola by, is her dog collar with her name inscribed and a

grave outside her home near the rose garden where her body now lies.
