Bulldogs Chemistry Sky High For 2007

Chapel Hill has high hopes for the coming season, returning a lot of experience, especially on the offensive side of the ball. That experience will be called on to help avoid the 2-5 start the bulldogs had last year.

"There were a lot of things we weren't used to," said senior linebacker and h-back Joseph Antley, "but I think we'll be ready this year.  We know what to expect and what to come out and do."

But more than the experience, head coach Phil Castles is trumpeting his teams chemistry.

"You can tell that on the field when they take up for each other and the way they kid each other before the games and before practice," Castles said.  "That chemistry is something that you cannot take for granted."

"We band together.  We all friens, no one dislikes each other on the team, and we all great family," said senior quarterback Chris Mass.  "We were just a couple of plays from beating Liberty-Eylau (in the second round of the playoffs), which won state last year, so we should be a great team this year."

In a district where nearly every team enters the final week of the season each year with a shot at the playoffs, the week ten matchup between Chapel Hill and fellow-district favorite Van, could very well be with a district title on the line as well.
