Around 5 o'clock Thursday morning, Longview Officers were sent to the Ware Meadows Apartments in reference to a vehicle burglary. Officers arrived at the location and began investigating. One of the witnesses told officers that the suspect's vehicle, a white Pontiac Grand Am, had returned to the apartment complex.
Officer William Farmer approached the suspect's vehicle and says he observed the passenger, identified as Armondo Flores, Jr., attempt to discard a stolen stereo. Officer Farmer took Flores into custody. Both Flores and the driver of the vehicle, Gustarius Johnson, admitted to burglarizing three vehicles at the apartment complex. Several additional stolen items were recovered from the rear seat of the suspect vehicle. Flores and Johnson were transported to the Gregg County Jail. Johnson is charged with three counts of Burglary of a Vehicle and an outstanding Smith County Warrant for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Flores is also charged with three counts of Burglary of a Vehicle and Fail to Identify.
