NAACP Says Not To Convict Vick Before Trial

At a news conference today, the Atlanta branch of the NAACP voiced their support for Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick.

The group is asking the public to withhold judgment until all the facts come out in court in connection with the federal dogfighting charges against him. Vick entered a not guilty plea last week. But today, one of his co-defendants pled guilty and agreed to fully cooperate with prosecutors.

The president of the Atlanta branch of the NAACP says Vick has already been convicted because he has been tried by the court of public opinion.
