Two Dead in Rusk County Crash

Two Henderson residents, including a nine year old, are dead after a Saturday afternoon collision.  DPS troopers say it happened on Highway 64 just before 2:30 p.m. near County Road 4134 D.  DPS troopers tell KLTV a Mercury Lasbre was driving west on Highway 64 passing another vehicle when the car hydro-planed and began to spin.  It went backwards into the East lane and was hit from behind.

Rebecca Ford, 27 of Henderson and Reno Wickware Polk, 9 died at the scene.  Jenkin Gorman Funeral Home is handling the services.

The driver of the Mercury Markeith LaGarret Ford, 31 of Henderson was treated and released from the hospital.  Deaundra Lamar Wickware, 7 is in critical condition at LSU Medical Center.  Amber Thurman, 19 of Jacksonville is in good condition at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.
