A Zoo At The Library!

Lions, tigers, and bears, oh my!

Well, not quite, but there were zebras, camels, and llamas. Around 50 East Texas kids showed up at the Longview Public Library Wednesday for a free petting zoo! The kids got a chance to pet and feed the critters, which included exotic animals like a lemur. Some of the children told KLTV 7 they'd never seen, let alone touch, any of these kinds of animals.

"It was really fun to see the animals because I haven't seen a camel, but I've seen a zebra and what looks to be like a donkey, but it's actually a horse," said 11 year old Corey Knight.

"He's so big, he's big, and he's got one hump. He's got big legs," said five year old Ayden Rabalis.

Wednesday's petting zoo was part of the Longview Public Library's summer reading program on Wednesdays.
