In the Kitchen: Red & White Holiday Party Trifle

18 oz. strawberry creme cake (or your favorite variety)

2 boxes (4 serving size) sugar-free, fat-free instant vanilla pudding

4 cups skim milk

1 can cherry pie filling

1 8 ounce tub of nonfat whipped topping, thawed

or 1 can refrigerated whipped topping

1/2 cup fresh blueberries, for garnish

Combine pudding mix & milk in a large bowl. Prepare according to package directions. Set aside, spread about 1/2 of the prepared pudding the bottom of the trifle dish. Cut the creme cake into 1- inch cubes. Place about 1/2 of the cake pieces on top of the pudding, and top with cherry pie filling. Repeat with more cake and more pudding. Spread whipped topping on top of everything, and sprinkle fresh blueberries. Chill until serving time.
