Starving Horses Found In Camp County

An East Texas Sheriff's Department finds another case of animal neglect, as four horses are found near starvation.  The horses were discovered by Camp County sheriffs deputies at a remote farm near Highway 11, just north of Leesburg.  The animals were found emaciated and were barely able to walk.  Authorities turned the horses over to the rescue group Safe Haven for rehabilitation.

The owner of the horses has been charged with animal cruelty.  If you'd like to help the horses you can do so by calling Safe Haven Equine Rescue at 903-762-1432.
