American Eagle Adding Another Flight In Tyler

American Eagle representatives announced to the Tyler City Council on Wednesday that the airline will be adding a flight to the Tyler Airport this summer.

The flight, set to begin serving Tyler on Aug. 1, will be the fifth daily American Eagle flight to and from Tyler Pounds Regional Airport. American Eagle Station Manager Clyde Sanders told the council that the flight will arrive about 2:15 p.m. every day and depart at about 2:50 p.m.

"Customers can begin booking their reservations now on the new flight", said Sanders.

City officials commented that this flight would help respond to the need for more service.

"This is great news for our airport," said Mayor Joey Seeber. "I regularly hear great things about the airport, but the biggest complaint I hear is from customers wanting more flights. I am glad to see American Eagle responding to that need."

American Eagle offers daily flights from Tyler to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
