A Wayward 17 Year Old Now A 'Wanted' Man

17 year old Sean Earle is a wanted man, accused by his mother of keeping bad company.

"He's my flesh and blood, and I'm his mother, and I don't care if he's 30 or 40. I'm going to be there, and if he's doing wrong,  I'm going to tell him," said his mother, Sheila Weakley.

Like many young boys, Sean grew up with horses and a love for old westerns. So when his mother says he started running around with a rough crowd, she tried relating to him on that level.

"He loves Gus. He loves Lonesome Dove. He just loves that group.  I've even used that scenario.  'Do you remember what happened to Jake in Lonesome Dove? Pretty okay guy; hung out with a bad bunch. They hung him," said Sheila.

"About two or three weeks ago he said, 'I'm not going to listen to you. I've got a place to stay, and I'm going to go there," said Sheila.

Desperate to pull her son back to the straight and narrow, Sheila hung the 'wanted' posters all over town, and it worked. Yesterday, he called and said...

"What are you doing? I'm okay," Earle called his mother and said.

"Well, I didn't know that," said Sheila.

It's not the first time she's resorted to unusual methods to get through to her boys.

"I would threaten to go up to school without make-up on, with my hair in rollers and take him from class to class, and he was like, 'you wouldn't dare,' and I said, 'I would," said Sheila.

And she says if her son doesn't straighten out, it won't be the last.
