Summer Is The Time For Grilling Demonstrations

Summer is officially here and that means it's time to fire up your grill.  An event in Tyler Saturday combined a farmer's fresh vegetables, red meat, and of course your grill.  Sterling Silver Meats brought an executive chef to this year's Farmer's Market at the East Texas fairgrounds.  He showed market goers how to grill up fresh vegetables and more than 40 pounds of red meat, giving out free samples and grilling tips to all.

"We talked to a lot of guys here and a big question was what temperature do you cook at, what's the secret spice, and today it was just salt and pepper and good hot grill, and as long as you've got good quality product, it's all you really need," said Corporate Executive Chef Lance Youngs with John Soules Foods.  The Farmer's Market is open through August on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at the East Texas Fairgrounds.
