Tyler Man Scratches His Way To $1 Million Dollars

Ralph Hilts of Tyler won $50 playing a Texas Lottery scrath-off ticket, but instead of cashing in, he bought one ticket for the $130 Million Dollar Spectacular - a game that costs $50.

"I scratched the ticket with a quarter, and I thought to myself that I'd won something," Hilts aid.

"I asked the clerk to run it through his terminal, and the message came up that the cashing limit had been exceded."

Hilts works as a custodian and says he might buy a new pick-up truck with the money, but adds that he's not going to get too excited until the money is in his hand.

He purchased the tickets at the Scooters #1 Store on Troup Highway in Tyler.
