Baby Sitters Charged with Using Heated Fork to Brand Boy

MASSILLON, OHIO (AP) -- Two teenage girls face felony charges in juvenile court accusing them of using a heated fork to brand the stomach of a seven-year-old boy they were baby-sitting.  The 13- and 15-year-old sisters, who are from Massillon in northeast Ohio, were taken into custody Tuesday.

Massillon Police Detective Bobby Grizzard says the younger sister is charged with child endangering and the older sister is charged with complicity to child endangering.  The latter charge accuses the girl of holding the boy down.

Grizzard says the girls heated a fork on a stove and then branded the boy while they baby-sat him on May 26th at their home.  The boy, who is not related to the girls, was treated at a hospital.  Grizzard says the boy had two burn marks on his stomach.
