Body of Missing East Texas Woman Identified

The body of an East Texas woman, missing for almost a year, has been identified.

Authorities say the body of Terri Reyes was found in the Angelina County National Forest last September, but it was only identified this week.

Reyes was one of two Jacksonville women reported missing last August.  They were scheduled to testify against former Jacksonville police officer Larry Pugh. Reyes' mother told KLTV in February that she believed Pugh was responsible for her disappearance.

Pugh is serving a 10 year federal prison sentence for sexually assaulting five women while on duty.
