Gift of Love: 5 Local Children Adopted

In March of this year, we introduced you to Michael. This 11 year old, polite young man, has a wealth of potential. "I want to be a doctor," he says about his future plans.

In the meantime, he's an energetic boy who enjoys sports. "I like soccer, football and baseball. I also like to play video games, play golf and go bowling."

He's spent the last 3 years in foster care. Linda Frazier, his foster mom says, "He wants to have a family. He wants to be in a permanent place." "He just wants somebody who will except him and love him."

Michael now has his permanent family and someone to love him unconditionally.

You met a sibling group of four last year. They're bonded and watch out for each other. Ruthie, Larry, Michael and Olita are four happy children despite a past of abuse and neglect.

After almost two years in foster care, this sibling group has faced a lot of uncertainty in their young lives. "I think when we first got in foster care Michael and Olita were too young to understand. So I try to help them understand," says 10 year old Ruthie.

Ruthie, the oldest, stays strong for her brothers and sister but it's not always easy. "It makes me sad," says Ruthie with tears rolling down her cheeks.

Those tears are now tears of joy, after a family has been selected for her and her siblings. They will stay together, sharing the Gift of Love.
