Mexican Free-Tailed Bats Headed To East Texas

It's that time of year again when the Mexican free-tailed bats make their way back into East Texas.

Most of them head south for the winter months, then return during the summer. The highest concentration of the bats is in Central Texas where there are plenty of caves.

A small percentage of the animals do carry rabies, so, if you get close enough to touch one, you probably shouldn't.
