Congressman Hensarling Talks About Immigration Reform Bill

President Bush was on the road today trying to raise support for passing the Immigration Reform Bill. It's a bill that concerns conservatives who say it's too easy on illegal immigrants already in the United States.  Here in East Texas, Congressman Jeb Hensarling (Texas-5) talked today about his concerns with the bill, saying it grants amnesty.

"If your going to grant amnesty, your just going to get more illegal immigration," said Congressman Jeb Hensarling, (Texas-5). I'm opposed to it, so I hope this particular version doesn't go anyway. We do need to beef up on our border security. I would be happy to work on a guest worker program, but again people need to come to America as an economic asset and not economic liability."   The Senate is expected to resume debate on the bill next week.
